Real Estate in Bridlecrest Tour Leads to Café Crema: Bridlewood's Coolest Coffee Shop!

Posted by Rachel R. Vanderveen on Tuesday, April 19th, 2011 at 7:49am.

So I happened to be showing some Bridlecrest Real Estate Listings the other day, and I happened across this lovely little cafe in the heart of the homes for sale Bridlecrest that I was showing! The name of this homey little establishment was Cafe Crema.

Upon entering I was immediately greeted. Being that I am trying to cut my carbs lately, I am being forced to forgo my lovely lattes for more traditional drip coffee fare. (I won't get into how much I hate this). So I go to the register and ask for a cup of whatever dark roast they have brewing, only to find out they don't "brew." (Ummm .hello! Brewing is so last week *apparently*). Cafe Crema actually only offers fresh French-pressed coffee, and they do it by the cup. In my earlier years of wine and coffee snobbery—the years before I was a mother to four kids---I would have sought this place out and driven from places far away to get a cup, but now I was just happy to have stumbled on a great cup of joe by accident.

As I waited the 3 minutes for my fresh French-pressed coffee to be ready, I took stock of the decor and ambiance. What a cute little place they have there! Perfect for meeting friends, and relaxing! Being the Nosey Nelly that I am, I started to give the staff the 3rd degree about this place. At the far end of the room there is false panel wall, and so I wanted to know what it was there for. They told me it's for live performances, and on Sunday, Cafe Crema in Bridlewood, becomes a church. Okay, so now I love the owners immediately, because they are voluntarily closing their establishment on a Sunday (which I think would be a major loss of business to them) and letting out their space for fellow believers to come and worship. So I instantly decided to blog about them, their very cool coffee shop (Cafe Crema in Bridlewood), and the delicious French-pressed coffee which I was lucky enough to have found in the midst of doing showings of Real Estate in Bridlecrest.

So, Jeff and Stephanie, I don't know you. But I took your card and wrote this blog because I think you are very cool, and so is your hip, funky, comfy little Coffee Shop in Bridlecrest!

Until Next Time
