This time of the year is perfect for retreating into the warmth of your home. Maybe now that the gardening season is finished, you can finally tackle painting that neglected room, or give another part of your interior some TLC. If you prefer to get out and about, you're sure to find something that appeals to you amongst the many get-togethers offered in Calgary's southeast quadrant. Have a look below to get the scoop on events coming up this October.
- A class on infant and child CPR will be held next Saturday, October 20th, to go over the basics of emergency care for children and tiny tots. This $30 talk is a great refresher for those who have already taken certification courses or who'd like to know the bare bones of CPR for wee ones. It will take place at the MDLCA community hall at 6 Copperstone Rd. SE.
- The McKenzie Towne Annual Hallowe'en Spooktacular is here again, taking place on Friday, October 26th. This popular yearly event invites residents and their guests out for a scarily good time of family-oriented crafts, music, and fun, all for free. Residents can RSVP online at the McKenzie Towne Council website, but get your RSVP in soon for the 7pm session, as the 5:30pm session is already full!
- Cranston's Great Pumpkin Adventure will be held between 2 and 4pm on October 28th, a Sunday. This gourd-themed event is free for Cranston residents of all ages, and includes the search for the Great Pumpkin and pumpkin decorating. To RSVP, head to the Cranston community website.
Just because owners of Southeast Calgary real estate are battening down the hatches for the cold winter months doesn't mean events and neighbourhood gatherings stop too. On the contrary, October brings a huge number of exciting gatherings, and that's just in the SE! I hope to see you at the next community celebration!
